Bearmach BA 2225 Freelander 2 inch Lift Kit
Contrary to opinion in some circles, the Freelander is actually a thoroughly capable off-roader. However, its one Achilles heel is its relatively low ground clearance.The BA2225 Freelander lift kit raises the standard ride height of the Freelander, transforming its off road capabilities. The 2 inch lift increases ground clearance to around the same level as a Discovery III and helps to increase the Freelander's maximum wading depth.
Raising the suspension on the Freelander can begin to cause the brake lines to be extended beyond the maximum recommended distance. Unlike cheaper kits, the BA2225 Freelander lift kit includes a set of high performance braided Goodridge brake hoses as standard. These are longer than the factory hoses to accommodate the lift and, being braided, help to improve brake pedal feel.
Another side effect of raising the suspension on the Freelander is that the wheel camber can begin to be adversely affected. If the vehicle is used regularly and does a lot of road mileage, this can begin to increase tyre wear rates. To overcome this issue, we can also supply BFA 6002 camber correction pins, which we'd recommend using if your Freelander is a daily driver.
Depending on the exact model, some modification of the inner wings or pipework may be required.
